Ceremony Ideas
There are many ways you can choose to celebrate this special occasion. Of course, you may choose to celebrate your Bat Mitzvah in a Shule you are affiliated with. Alternatively below are a number of options for the Bat Mitzvah ceremony explained in brief.
Ceremony options / Venues:
- At your home: could be a Sunday brunch, friday night dinner etc. with family and friends.
- At a function centre of your choice or we can also recommend some options.
- At a Shule, either as part of the service or depending on the season of the year a Shabbat candle lighting service prior to the Friday night service etc. We will help you find a Shule that suits your family.
- In Israel: We can put you in touch with the right people in Israel to make it a special and meaningful experience that suits your family. Learn more below.
There are many more creative options we can discuss to help make a meaningful experience where the focus is on the Bat Mitzvah girl.
Please consult with us before finalizing any of the above arrangements and let us know of any tentative dates, as we would love to participate in your Simcha.
Rabbi to Officiate
Rabbi Yossi is available to officiate at your function whether it be at home or a function venue. Rabbi Yossi will endeavor to include the parents and grandparents in the ceremony, at the conclusion of which he will present the Bat Mitzvah girl with a Siddur.
Rabbi Yossi can also co-officiate at a Shule service should you wish. Rabbi Yossi & Rivky are happy to officiate at your function provided it is certified as Kosher by the KA.
If you would like Rabbi Yossi or Rivky to attend the service / ceremony / party you are having you will need to provide us with your Ketubah or a parents Ketubah. Rabbi Yossi will help you with this process if needed.
Celebrate in Israel
We have special arrangements with Rabbis in Israel who can make your experience both meaningful and special. Whether you would like to celebrate at the Kotel, on top of Massadah at the crack of dawn or in the Kotel Tunnels – the possibilities are endless.
The occasion can be further enhanced by celebrating the meal at a soup kitchen and sponsoring their lunch, helping to pack food for the needy in Jerusalem; the Bat Mitzvah girl leading the family on a tour of the Kotel tunnels or even a twinning program that will enable your family to celebrate together with a orphan or a terrorist victim.
Many of the options above are surprisingly very cost effective.
The cost for the Rabbi’s services in Israel is $360 USD, he will happily help you co-ordinate your special day.
